Semifinalist, 2026 O’Neill Theater Center’s National Playwrights Conference
My play, Zip It: The Real Life Drama of an Italian-American Lesbian was a semifinalist for the 2026 O’Neill Theater Center’s National Playwrights Conference. I am honored and thrilled to be in the top 15% of the 1650 plays submitted. This competition is one of the most prestigious incubators for new work in American theatre. It was also a finalist in Echo Theatre Company's New Works competition. Now I know it’s ready. Let me know if you’d like to produce it or have a theatre/group who would.
Bio
Lori holds an MFA in play writing from the Naslund-Mann Graduate School of Writing at Spalding University.
Lori spent a month-long residency (2024) with One Year Lease Theatre (NYC) working with Ellen McLaughlin and a host of students and theatre professionals from around the world. Contact Lori if you'd like her to host her interactive workshop about this event.
She has also had several of her plays produced and read throughout the United States.
She is a proud member of the Dramatist Guild, The Literary Managers & Dramaturgs of the Americas and the International Centre for Women Playwrights.
