Lori is working toward her MFA in playwriting (2025) from Spalding University. Before this, she rigorously studied on her own and at Rochester NY's Writer's and Books. She continues to take classes, read, study and work at the craft.
She has also had several of her plays read and produced throughout the United States.
The Spokane Civic Theatre produced Lori's one act play, No Smoking. That same year, the play also received a reading at Rochester's Shipping Dock Theatre.
Lori has won the the Geva Regional Playwrights competition for her play Mystic Castle, a drama about the serial killer Arthur Shawcross.
She has served as dramaturg for Lynn Nottage's Sweat, and Ragtime, The Musical for JCC's Centerstage in Rochester, NY.
Her works have appeared in many festivals including most recently the Rochester Fringe Festival. Lori has studied with Jeffrey Sweet, Lynn Nottage, and Terrace McNally. She is a proud member of the Dramatist Guild and the International Centre for Women Playwrights.
